Dear readers,
I'm thrilled (and nervous!!) to share something new with you: postcards from transylvania.
Glimpses into the quiet moments from my new life here in Eastern Europe. Not travel tips or cultural explainers, just the small, strange experiences of finding myself standing in my 96-year-old grandfather's apartment, caring for him as he once cared for me.
I’ll write to you about how it feels to stand on the other side of goodbye, to hear my name spoken as it was meant to be said, and all the other little moments that make me question: have I moved away or come home?
Each month, paid subscribers will receive these intimate dispatches directly in their inboxes. Unlike my other writing, these postcards aren't meant to be one-sided – reply to any message, and I'll write back to you. I want to know what's happening in your corner of the world, too.
For the next week, you can join me on this journey with 30% off an annual subscription. It's the most personal writing I've ever shared, and I'd love to have you along.
cu drag,
Anna

my dad went home today. he was here visiting for a week. i stood at the window and watched his taxi pull away and drive down the street. i thought about all the times i’d looked up from the back of a taxi at my grandfather standing in that same window, waving at me as I drove down the street. i’ve never stood on this side of the goodbye before. it was sad in a new and familiar way.
