Elle Griffin's newsletter is one of my must-reads. Not only is Griffin helping pioneer a new fiction publishing model, but she also shares her experience with building a community around your work. https://ellegriffin.substack.com/

So much amazing writing to sink your teeth into! I'm particularly fond of Emma Saunders' This Naked City newsletter - monthly postcards on London, expat life, home, the seasons, and trying to savour, make sense of this moment.

Thanks for including Counterflows in your round-up, Anna! ❤️ I'm loving Linda Liukas's newsletter about computer science, childhood and culture right now. Here's the latest edition: https://helloruby.substack.com/p/no-23-compositional-patterns-comments

This is a great roundup of newsletters!

I'm subscribed to a few climate / sustainability newsletters I really like, particularly Heated (https://heated.world/) and Hot Take (https://hot-take.ghost.io/). They're great summaries that cut through the greenwashing of climate media, have a real no-bullshit approach, and inspire a lot of my own writing.

Thanks for this roundup, Anna! Fully agree on Sian Meades-Williams’ newsletter - super useful, that one. I'm also a subscriber to One More Question by Britany Robinson - https://onemorequestion.substack.com/ - who works ridiculously hard to find freelance writing gigs for her readers and always has something thoughtful to say to writers facing the daily grind...

I've also recently discovered that a fave writer, Antonia Malchik, now has a Substack: https://antonia.substack.com/ She has a book out about walking, the human experience & politics of it - and now with the newsletter she's refocusing on the land we walk over, and all the ways to think about it that can help us have better, richer lives. She's a great investigator of the so-commonplace-it's-invisible stuff, and a really fine writer.
